Logistics Engineer I
About The Position
The Material Management Specialist will be a member of the Carry-on Special Technologies Engineering and Integration (STEI) Logistics team, focusing primarily on all aspects of material procurement, handling and management. This role involves managing and maintaining inventory accuracy using customer directed supply systems, conducting regular wall-to-wall inventories, and performing discrepancy analysis. Key responsibilities include shipping, receiving, inventory, and requesting fulfillment of electronic/electrical components, serving as the onsite point of contact for material requests, and reviewing, analyzing, and executing purchase requisitions with manufacturing and planning teams to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner. The role also entails creating and issuing purchase orders to suppliers, managing modifications to purchase orders, and reviewing and performing thorough due diligence on purchase requisitions to ensure TAA compliance on all purchases.
Requirements
- Two years of full-time professional experience as a logistician
- Two years of full-time professional experience with government procurements
- Two years of full-time professional experience in Navy Integrated Logistics Support and System Life-Cycle support areas of the DoD/Navy Integrated Logistics Support System
- U.S. Citizenship
- U.S. Government security clearance at the Top Secret / SCI level
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) preferred, not required
- Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) Program
