About The Position

This Logistics Engineer will play a role on a multi-disciplinary team that provides repair, maintenance and lifecycle sustainment services to the US Navy. This position will support the activities of the repair and maintenance facility by ensuring that part inventories are accurate and healthy.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Performing work in this job’s occupational field requires the application of complex, technical professional disciplines requiring a four-year degree or equivalent and the extensive, applied use of related concepts, practices, and methods
  • In relation to other jobs in the same function, this job requires a fundamental level of proficiency to work on assignments of standard difficulty
  • Analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills and computer skills
  • Must be able to regularly lift systems near 50 lbs. in weight
  • U.S. CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of computer components and other IT equipment
  • Forklift certified

Responsibilities

  • Verifying inventory according to database records
  • Assisting in shipping of IT assets
  • Entering repair data and retrieving repair history from system repair database
  • Assisting procurement team with identifying sources for new parts
  • Assisting logistics team with ensuring the parts are in stock to support the systems
  • Assisting logistics team with preparing for inventory audits
