Logistics Engineer, Design
About The Position
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for utilizing problem solving and quantitative methods to provide engineering solutions through projects in various areas of the organization. This role involves applying knowledge of the organization to make improvements to existing processes or solutions, increasing awareness and knowledge of quantitative methods, computer programming, optimization, and/or solution design to support data analysis. The engineer will solve problems related to process improvement by analyzing internal and external data, including operations, pricing, financial, and customer information, and analyze a variety of data and processes to reduce cost and increase business productivity. Communication with business partners to understand problems and present solutions, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to create and implement solutions are key aspects of this role.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Management, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience, and training
- 1 year of experience in Industrial Engineering or related field
- Experience in data visualization software
- Experience in statistics
- Experience in operations research
- Experience in linear programming
- Experience in forecasting
- Experience in predictive modeling
- Experience in relational databases
- Experience in SQL
