About The Position

The Director of Logistics is responsible for developing and overseeing Paligen’s end‑to‑end logistics, materials management, and government‑property accountability operations. This role ensures full compliance with FAR 52.245‑1, DFARS requirements, MMAS standards, and all contract-specific GFP obligations across CCC, TNT, and related programs. The Director will design scalable systems, lead audit‑ready processes, and develop a high‑performing team capable of supporting rapid growth and strict compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in logistics, materials management, or government property accountability, including leadership roles.
  • Direct experience with FAR/DFARS, government property management, and MMAS compliance.
  • Demonstrated success managing GFP, CAP, and lifecycle property accountability.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, transportation management, and logistics strategy.
  • Experience in ERP configuration for materials management.
  • Audit leadership experience with DCMA, DCAA, or prime‑contractor property teams.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Background Investigation/Drug Screen/US Person: Required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in government contracting, regulated manufacturing, or defense/supply chain environments.
  • Working knowledge of TMS, WMS, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Deltek, etc.).
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certifications.
  • Background in establishing compliant GFP systems within scaling organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute Paligen’s logistics and materials management strategy across transportation, warehousing, distribution, and inventory control.
  • Establish compliant processes for GFP receipt, tracking, and reconciliation.
  • Oversee inventory management plans, control procedures, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities.
  • Lead shipping coordination, transportation planning, and compliant transfer documentation.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures for materials management and logistics.
  • Ensure full compliance with FAR 52.245‑1, DFARS clauses, and contract-specific requirements for CCC, TNT, and associated programs.
  • Oversee complete lifecycle accountability for Government‑Furnished Property (GFP), Contractor‑Acquired Property (CAP), and Paligen-owned materials.
  • Lead audit readiness and serve as the point of contact for government, prime, and subcontractor audits.
  • Manage property loss investigations, reporting, and corrective action closure.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant government and subcontractor property flow-down oversight.
  • Maintain MMAS accountability, documentation, and compliance controls.
  • Oversee ERP setup, configuration, and data integrity for materials management functions.
  • Implement KPIs, dashboards, compliance reports, and performance tracking mechanisms.
  • Identify and implement logistics technologies and automation that strengthen compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Program Management, Finance, and Quality to support contract execution and audit requirements.
  • Assess logistics and materials-management risks related to compliance, cost, delivery, and inventory security.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, reduce cost, and maintain audit readiness.
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, carrier relationships, and vendor performance.
