About The Position

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining and organizing field lot operations, coordinating maintenance and repairs for the Community Medicine Fleet and Equipment, and ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of all fleet vehicles. This role involves tracking maintenance schedules, managing incident databases, monitoring supply levels, and processing expense reports. Additionally, the coordinator will perform operational duties such as transferring fleet vehicles, assisting with cash management, and ensuring the security of ASPCA assets. Administrative tasks include scheduling training for drivers and coordinating onboarding for new hires. The position also emphasizes workplace safety, requiring the modeling and enforcement of safety procedures. A portion of the role involves performing Senior Veterinarian Assistant duties when needed.

  • Animal Handling Experience
  • Customer Service Experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize Field Lot Operations, including opening/closing the field and assisting with dispatching mobile clinics.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs of the Community Medicine Fleet and Equipment, liaising with repair vendors to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of all fleet vehicles, inside and out.
  • Maintain a tracking system for scheduled vehicle maintenance.
  • Maintain an incident tracking database and collaborate with data analysts for information summarization.
  • Track appointment compliance and canceled spay/neuter clinics or transport events.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from drivers and medical teams.
  • Monitor supply levels to ensure all vehicles are stocked and reorder supplies according to ASPCA processes.
  • Track receipts and process expense reports according to ASPCA policy.
  • Perform operational duties including SVA mobile shifts.
  • Transfer fleet vehicles to and from repair shops.
  • Perform daily duties at the field lot or cover SVA shifts as needed.
  • Ensure all Community Medicine fleet and field lot areas are clean and orderly.
  • Assist with secure cash management procedures (if applicable) and protection of ASPCA assets.
  • Schedule commercial driver’s license training and tests for Community Medicine drivers.
  • Generate on-boarding schedules, conduct field lot training, and coordinate peer training for new hires.
  • Suggest improvements in workplace safety and operational efficiency.
  • Model safety procedures and ensure team members comply with safety protocols.
  • Address or report all safety hazards promptly.
  • Perform Senior Veterinarian Assistant duties when needed.
