About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Logistics Coordination and Safety Lab Test Technician to join their Technical Support Services Group in Dearborn, MI. This role involves coordinating incoming and outgoing materials, organizing parts within the test lab, and supporting engineers and technicians. The position also includes a secondary role of supporting testing operations such as front/rear impact, interior head impact, head-form impact, Servo and HYGE sled operation, Airbag, and Seatbelts, including test execution, data collection, and post-test removal of equipment and components.

Requirements

High School diploma
Valid state driver's license to pass PMHV licensing
Ability to organize and prioritize workload on a daily basis (incoming and outgoing)
Ability to work with others and take directions
Good computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good records keeping
Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, PHMV exam, and background check.
Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers.
Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written.
Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to self or others.
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner.
Dependable personal transportation to work site is required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate all incoming and outgoing materials through Shipping.
Organize parts pre- and post-test within the test lab using a hilo or pallet jacks.
Coordinate with engineers, customers, other material coordinators, and lab personnel to determine post-test disposition of parts (ship, scrap, store, etc.).
Daily interaction with engineers, technicians, dock personnel, and management to support daily operations.
Write shippers for outgoing parts, and tag and organize parts for shipping.
Maintain a safe working area and follow all lab safety rules & guidelines.
Maintain shipping records for off-site storage.
Support testing in areas of front/rear impact, interior head impact, head-form impact, Servo and HYGE sled operation, Airbag, Seatbelts, etc.
Test execution, data collection and post-test removal of test equipment and components.
