This position is responsible for leading and monitoring a group of assigned team members to achieve goals that contribute to the growth of the organization. The role involves directing day-to-day production activities, conducting training, empowering the team to meet production goals and overall efficiency, and performing production work when manning is low or builds are under efficiency. The Team Leader must be able to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues, operate all cells/presses/mobile equipment, inspect parts for defects, and promote Kaizen activities to improve processes. They will create and implement countermeasures for abnormalities, provide direction and guidance, and be able to rotate in all team leader positions within the facility. Additionally, the role requires understanding team members' strengths and weaknesses for coaching and progressive discipline, reporting out to FMDS boards, organizing tasks, setting goals, upholding company vision, maintaining working relationships with support groups, solving problems, resolving conflicts, and implementing/maintaining applicable management systems. The position also ensures compliance with environmental requirements, identifies and provides control plans for compliance obligations, and ensures the safety of work assignments and workspaces by providing safety training, procedures, and equipment, identifying hazards, investigating incidents, and discussing safety in regular meetings and performance reviews.
