Under the direction of the Supervisor, Logistics, the Logistics Clerk is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods essential to both Tribal and casino operations. This role involves overseeing the physical delivery of all products from vendors, ensuring they meet established quantity, quality standards, specifications, and temperature requirements. The clerk coordinates product transfers, maintains accurate daily records, and submits all required documentation to Finance in compliance with organizational policies. Responsibilities also include relocating inventory within the warehouse or between facilities using forklifts and other material-handling equipment, planning and optimizing delivery routes, verifying authorized signatures, and coordinating product deliveries to other enterprise properties and off-site events. The Logistics Clerk oversees accurate shipment preparation and tracking of goods through carriers like UPS and FedEx. Communication regarding vendor shortages and mispicks to Procurement Services and relevant departments, serving as a verification agent for purchases outside the Procurement system, and escorting vendor-controlled deliveries are also key aspects. The role involves conducting inventory monitoring and cycle counts to maintain adequate stock levels, ensuring proper stocking and rotation using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) methodology, accurately recording inventory transactions, troubleshooting discrepancies, and generating detailed reports. Additionally, the clerk reports safety violations and incidents, collects and delivers accounting records for archiving, assists with document shredding, performs preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment, identifies and removes outdated or damaged goods, ensures logistics areas are clean and organized, and prepares unused pallets for recycling.
