About The Position

Under the direction of the Supervisor, Logistics, the Logistics Clerk is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods essential to both Tribal and casino operations. This role involves overseeing the physical delivery of all products from vendors, ensuring they meet established quantity, quality standards, specifications, and temperature requirements. The clerk coordinates product transfers, maintains accurate daily records, and submits all required documentation to Finance in compliance with organizational policies. Responsibilities also include relocating inventory within the warehouse or between facilities using forklifts and other material-handling equipment, planning and optimizing delivery routes, verifying authorized signatures, and coordinating product deliveries to other enterprise properties and off-site events. The Logistics Clerk oversees accurate shipment preparation and tracking of goods through carriers like UPS and FedEx. Communication regarding vendor shortages and mispicks to Procurement Services and relevant departments, serving as a verification agent for purchases outside the Procurement system, and escorting vendor-controlled deliveries are also key aspects. The role involves conducting inventory monitoring and cycle counts to maintain adequate stock levels, ensuring proper stocking and rotation using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) methodology, accurately recording inventory transactions, troubleshooting discrepancies, and generating detailed reports. Additionally, the clerk reports safety violations and incidents, collects and delivers accounting records for archiving, assists with document shredding, performs preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment, identifies and removes outdated or damaged goods, ensures logistics areas are clean and organized, and prepares unused pallets for recycling.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a related field is required.
  • Must be a minimum 21 years of age.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience working with inventory, mobile supply chain, and ERP software required.
  • Eatec/Lawson software.
  • Ability to be trained and certified in Power Industrial Equipment (PIE) efficiency and departmental equipment standards.
  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the insurance carrier is required.

Responsibilities

Coordinates product transfers and maintains accurate daily records, submitting all required documentation to Finance in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Relocates inventory within the warehouse or between facilities using forklifts and other material-handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Plans and optimizes delivery routes to ensure efficiency and timely completion of deliveries, while verifying receipt of authorized signatures. Coordinates product deliveries to other enterprise properties and off-site events. Oversee accurate shipment preparation and tracking of goods through carriers such as UPS and FedEx.
  • Communicates vendor shortages and mispicks to Procurement Services and relevant departments, ensuring prompt resolution of departmental needs. Serves as a verification agent for purchases made outside the Procurement system. Oversees vendor-controlled deliveries by escorting shipments and verifying quantities for accuracy.
  • Conducts inventory monitoring and cycle counts to maintain adequate stock levels based on established par standards, recommending adjustments as necessary. Ensures proper stocking and rotation of inventory using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) methodology. Accurately records all inventory transactions, troubleshoots discrepancies, and initiates system corrections when required. Continuously updates receiving and inventory systems and generates detailed reports to support operational accuracy.
  • Reports all safety violations and any incidents involving damage to real or personal property, including company facilities, equipment, and structures.
  • Collects and delivers accounting records for warehouse archiving and assists with document shredding processes to ensure secure handling and disposal of sensitive materials.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment to ensure optimal functionality, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Identifies and removes outdated, spoiled, or damaged goods to maintain inventory integrity. Ensures logistics areas remain clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Collects unused pallets and prepares them for recycling in accordance with sustainability practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
