About The Position

This intern position will be assigned to Material Logistics Automation Team to assist current engineers to create, design, and improve automation process for efficient production.

Requirements

• Must be a rising/junior pursuing a four year degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior work and/or internship experience in an Engineering field is ideal, but not required
• Must have coursework in engineering studies, and/or a related science field
• Computer Skills (MS Office, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, etc.)
• All employees for all positions must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Design/Create autonomous material call system for material delivery from logistics to final production through AGV technology and systems (C/C#)
• Improve AGV(Automated guided vehicle) delivery efficiency and create/design new AGV(hardware/software)
• Create a comprehensive PM Plan for AGVs and operation via program or Excel
• Improve AGV material handling such as a new trolley design and lineside automation

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to manufacturing and other related functions.
• Leads manufacturing process improvement methods, and systems for products, facilities, fixtures, tooling, equipment, and/or materials.
• Design, implement, and review manufacturing procedures and equipment.
• Identify areas for improvement and maintain high levels of manufacturing and product quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to make improvements in all major production KPI’s.
