The position involves daily management of material movement, ensuring safety, security, and productivity standards are met. A significant aspect of the role includes interacting with suppliers to resolve issues related to expediting, returns, and invoices. The Logistics Associate acts as a point of contact for various Mayo Clinic staff, providing support for Supply Chain Management (SCM) logistics, handling a high volume of requests, and resolving inquiries and problems by collaborating with appropriate SCM personnel. Special projects may also be assigned. The role requires researching and resolving complex transactions, including 'Invoices not Received' and 'Received not Invoiced' issues, as well as specialty transactions like proof of delivery research, shipping mode identification, and managing returns. The associate will also assist with the distribution of medical products, including controlled substances and hazardous materials, and utilize various reports to maintain data integrity. Identifying and resolving processing delays through collaboration with affected individuals is also a key responsibility. The position requires adherence to a broad range of policies and governmental regulations and assisting with SCM leadership-directed projects.
