About The Position

The Logistics Associate I plays a critical role in supporting the efficient movement and storage of materials within a manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the Inbound Logistics Supervisor, the primary area will be Receiving and Inventory Control. This position is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining inventory accuracy to support production schedules. The role requires close collaboration with warehouse personnel, suppliers, and transportation providers to optimize logistics processes and minimize delays. The Logistics Associate I contributes to maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards while continuously seeking opportunities to improve operational workflows. Ultimately, this position ensures that materials and finished goods are handled efficiently to support the overall manufacturing supply chain.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or transportation management systems (TMS).
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations related to material handling.
• Previous experience coordinating shipments or inventory control.
• Associate degree or coursework in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and receipt of materials and products.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, including receiving, storage, and distribution activities.
• Assist in the preparation of shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to organize storage and ensure proper handling of materials.
• Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve logistics issues and improve processes.
• Support compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to material handling and transportation.
• Utilize logistics software and systems to update shipment status and inventory data.
