The Logistics Associate role is responsible for receiving and delivering items throughout the Community Action House organization. Daily tasks include coordinating, receiving, delivering, and moving large items (such as furniture) for the Resale Store and food donations (sometimes with pallet jacks) for the Food Club and Community Kitchen. The day typically begins in the warehouse of the Food Club, moving inventory on and off trucks. The remainder of the day involves driving to homes to pick up donations and deliver them to Resale Stores. The role also includes assisting with light facility maintenance and event setup/teardown. The organization is invested in professional development, and this hire may have the opportunity to grow as a professional driver within the organization. The ideal candidate is a team player, a go-getter with a positive attitude, compassionate, guest-centered, and capable of navigating difficult conversations when a donation needs to be declined. Logistics team members aim to deliver a positive experience to donors, guests, and staff while ensuring in-kind donations are distributed effectively throughout the organization.
