About The Position

The Logistics Assistant II will assist in the organization’s daily logistical operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution. This role involves organizing raw materials for mixing production, reviewing inventory to ensure supply to customers, and preparing and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments. Responsibilities extend to performing goods receipts and issues in SAP, checking raw materials, managing raw material inventory, making transfers to PCT and Jungs, and receiving all raw materials and fabrics. The role also includes communicating with the Raw Material Warehouse (JUNGS BT1), coordinating orders to Jungs, working with outside warehouses on receiving and transfer transactions, and maintaining Jung Storage trailer inventories. Additionally, the Logistics Assistant II will manage outgoing rubber shipments, maintain records of outgoing rubber, handle logistics and communication with third parties and other plants, work with Purchasing on daily issues, and assist with non-conforming materials. Direct contact with PCT is required to ensure they have necessary materials and compounds. Organizing trailer moves to and from PCT for materials, compounds, and scrap is also a key function. Office work includes maintaining Excel spreadsheets for various locations, coordinating deliveries and returns, supporting cross-functional meetings, and preparing for internal and external audits. Functional duties involve performing other duties as directed by management, following standard practices, plant safety, and environmental policies, communicating with oncoming leads, ensuring no customer outages, conducting daily walkthroughs of receiving areas, and ensuring ESH procedures are implemented and monitored. This role may not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years related experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the organization’s daily logistical operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment and distribution.
  • Organized raw Materials for mixing production.
  • Reviews inventory to ensure supply to customer (Mixing).
  • Prepares and verifies incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Perform goods receipts in SAP & goods issue (push to WIP).
  • Check incoming and outgoing raw materials, verifies description, quantities and labeling.
  • Responsible for raw material inventory and any issues using SAP and ensure all is correct.
  • Make transfers to PCT and Jungs as needed, and transfer yard material into plant location, (push to WIP).
  • Receive all raw materials, fabrics & make sure COA & BOL are correct.
  • Communicate with Raw Material Warehouse (JUNGS BT1).
  • Coordinate daily, wire, 3rd floor orders to Jungs daily.
  • Work with outside warehouse (JUNGS) on receiving and transfer transactions.
  • Maintain Jung Storage trailer inventories
  • Keep records of all outgoing rubber
  • Manage all logistic and communication with 3rd parties and other plants.
  • Work with Purchasing on daily issues.
  • Assist with non-conforming materials.
  • Stay in direct contact with PCT folks to ensure they have materials, and compounds they need to run without any down time.
  • Organizing the trailer moves to and from PCT for materials, compounds, and scrap.
  • Maintain excel spreadsheets for Morelia, PCT, Sumter, Hexpol, Clinton receiving and ship outs of materials.
  • Coordinate deliveries, and returns to and from vendors
  • Ensure support for Cross Functional meetings
  • Prepare for internal and external audits (WIP).
  • Perform other duties as directed by Dept, Manager, Shift Lead Supervisor in mixing and receiving.
  • Follow standard practices, plant safety policies, plant policies, and Environmental policies.
  • Communicate with oncoming leads regarding ongoing and forthcoming activities.
  • Ensure no outages to customers.
  • Daily walk through, of all receiving areas, for visual inspections.
  • Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.
