About The Position

The Logistics Assistant I is a member of the Fulfillment & Distribution team, responsible for administrative tasks related to the processing of materials received and the shipping of finished goods. The Logistics Assistant I executes assigned tasks daily and communicates with teams to ensure that orders are shipped and purchase orders are received timely and accurately.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of professional clerical/administrative experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse procedures and practices.
  • Strong communication, customer service, data entry, accuracy, written documentation, analytical, prioritization, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time. May be required to work overtime and weekends to achieve project and organizational goals.
  • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Must be able to demonstrate practical problem solving and trouble shooting skills
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Customer Service (internal/external) - Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in business, administration, or related field.
  • Prior warehouse experience.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Support internal and external customers and drivers, as needed.
  • Record all inbound and outbound activities into AMAPS and/or SharePoint as needed.
  • Maintain and ensure adherence to the daily shipping/receiving schedules and deadlines.
  • Verify paperwork and maintain all inbound/outbound procedures.
  • Execute assignments in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all requirements including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
