About The Position

Analyzes, designs, and configures packaged software and Avnet developed products to meet business implementation and operational needs. Uses knowledge of warehouse shipping and business functions and compliance processes, to configure, design and support the functions of the applications that support the business. The user will learn the functionality of the software packages and by using the Avnet implementation tools and methodology will work to configure packaged software products and define changes and enhancements for development to meet business requirements and specifications. Ensures the overall effectiveness of software systems and proactively evaluates, recommends, and implements cost effective improvements. Evaluates hardware specifications and/or software technology against existing and future needs. Monitors, evaluates, and reports on the ongoing performance and capacity of assigned area(s) of the computing environments (software and hardware specifications) to ensure business requirements are met. Other duties as assigned.

  • Extensive knowledge and application of principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Complete knowledge of all job functions and the broad industry best practices, techniques, and standards.
  • Develops solutions to complex problems where analysis of situations and/or data requires in-depth evaluation of variables.
  • Determine best approach to achieve results and provide suggestions to improve policies and procedures.
  • Work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion.
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
  • Work may be reviewed at a high-level.
  • May represent the organization as a primary contact on assignments and/or projects.
  • Interacts with senior professionals and management and frequently coordinates work between departments or organizations.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
  • Configures multiple functional areas.
  • Defines configuration and ties it together across modules.
  • Creative thinker and an independent worker that follows through and works to complete tasks and projects within required parameters.
  • This position will have access to ITAR product and therefore be authorized to access product.
  • This position requires the employee to be a U.S. Citizen or National, or a lawful permanent resident as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20), or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
