About The Position

Tricon Energy is seeking a highly organized and analytical Logistics & Operations Analyst to support daily logistics activities, coordinate shipments, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency. The role involves managing logistics activities and shipment exceptions while using data and problem-solving skills to optimize processes, costs, and service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

Tricon is a global trading and distribution company operating in more than 120 countries, with over 1,000 employees across more than 40 countries. Its business includes petrochemicals, polymers, and raw materials, supported by logistics, risk management, financing, and market intelligence capabilities.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with imports, trucking, warehouses, or inventory management.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Customer service experience and the ability to exceed customer service expectations.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and ownership of work.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, STEM, or a related field is preferred; candidates from other educational backgrounds with strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards or SAP, reporting tools, or process automation.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor shipments, inventory, and warehouse operations.
• Independently manage and oversee end-to-end imports, customs, drayage, rail, and trucking activities.
• Evaluate transportation methods, carrier performance, routing, warehouse locations, and consolidation opportunities to optimize cost and service.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and system transactions.
• Resolve logistics issues and proactively communicate updates.
• Track shipments and resolve exceptions, including delays, reroutes, returns, documentation issues, and customs-related challenges, to minimize disruption.
• Use Excel and other systems to track data, prepare reports, and improve processes.
