About The Position

The Logistics Analyst supports transportation and logistics operations by collecting, analyzing, and reporting on transportation-related data to monitor performance, service levels, and costs. This role partners closely with logistics leadership and cross-functional teams to identify trends, support operational improvements, and enhance transportation efficiency and execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain operations, transportation analysis, or inventory management.
  • Demonstrated experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to support operational decision-making.
  • Familiarity with WMS, ERP, and transportation-related systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data to cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain multi-modal hazmat shipping certification within three (3) months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and maintain transportation data related to carrier performance, on-time delivery, freight costs, and damage trends.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports that track transportation performance metrics and operational results.
  • Monitor data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues and escalate findings to logistics leadership.
  • Support root-cause analysis efforts by gathering data, identifying contributing factors, and documenting findings.
  • Maintain accurate transportation datasets to support reporting, audits, and operational reviews.
  • Ensure transportation data and reporting align with established procedures, compliance requirements, and security standards.
  • Analyze routing, carrier usage, mode selection, and consolidation data to identify efficiency improvement opportunities.
  • Provide analytical support for transportation optimization initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Partner with Inventory, Warehouse Operations, Order Management, and IT teams to support logistics process analysis.
  • Assist with testing, validation, and documentation of logistics system enhancements and process changes.
  • Analyze freight claims data to identify trends related to loss, damage, and recovery outcomes.
  • Support freight claim resolution by tracking status, preparing reports, and documenting recurring issues.
  • Serve as a point of contact for transportation-related exceptions by compiling information and escalating issues as needed.
  • Provide limited backup support for Logistics Coordinators during peak periods or coverage needs.
