A Logistics Analyst is responsible for the coordination and oversight of drivers, trucks, and containers to create capacity, maximize productivity and ensure prompt, courteous and efficient service to all customers. Additional responsibilities include the oversight of safety, customer experience, and productivity. The role involves analyzing daily route information, implementing changes for efficiency, and responding to same-day or next-day planning needs. The analyst will also manage driver safety, analyze logistics data, communicate with drivers, and evaluate driver performance. Key duties include creating optimized routes, monitoring daily activities, assessing the need for swing routes, and determining if service requests can be pulled forward to enhance efficiency and customer experience. The position requires courteous interaction with customers, ensuring route designs promote safety and efficiency, and prioritizing customer promises. Daily call center communication updates and continuous assessment are necessary to reduce missed pickups and improve communication channels. The analyst must evaluate route issues causing delays, communicate with impacted customers, and review routing media for service exceptions and general messages to meet customer needs, ultimately ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
