About The Position

The Logistics Analyst IV Project Lead provides senior-level medical logistics support to the Army Medical Logistics Command (AMLC) Force Projection Directorate (FPD). The position is responsible for analyzing and developing logistics plans affecting production, distribution, inventory management, medical materiel readiness, contingency operations, and mission support requirements. The incumbent serves as a technical lead and subject matter expert, providing guidance to junior personnel while supporting Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS), Unit Deployment Packages (UDP), Medical Materiel Readiness Program (MMRP), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and other medical readiness initiatives. The Logistics Analyst IV will support the management of Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS), Unit Deployment Packages (UDP), Medical Materiel Readiness Program (MMRP), contingency operations, force projection initiatives, and Medical Logistics Support Team (MLST) missions. The position requires extensive experience, sound judgment, leadership capability, and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex logistics challenges.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible logistics experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in: Medical logistics operations, Inventory management, Supply chain analysis, Distribution management, Readiness reporting, Logistics planning and execution
  • Experience supporting DoD, Army, or medical logistics organizations preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of medical logistics and supply chain management principles.
  • Ability to analyze complex logistics requirements and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with government stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Army logistics information systems.
  • Ability to develop reports, briefings, and executive-level recommendations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant military logistics experience may be substituted for education.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and develop logistics plans supporting medical materiel management, distribution, storage, and inventory operations.
  • Create, review, and improve logistics procedures to maximize operational effectiveness, mission readiness, and customer satisfaction while minimizing costs.
  • Lead logistics planning activities supporting contingency operations, medical readiness missions, and force projection requirements.
  • Provide analytical support for production, distribution, supply chain, and inventory management processes.
  • Coordinate logistics actions associated with Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS), Unit Deployment Packages (UDP), Medical Materiel Readiness Program (MMRP), and related programs.
  • Prepare mission planning documentation, workload reports, readiness assessments, and logistics analyses.
  • Support Medical Logistics Support Team (MLST) missions through operational planning, execution, and reporting activities.
  • Conduct logistics risk assessments and provide recommendations to government leadership.
  • Lead and direct the work of subordinate logistics personnel and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD, Army, AMLC, and FPD policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Utilize Army logistics systems and reporting tools to monitor inventory, distribution, and readiness metrics.
  • Assist government leadership with strategic planning, data analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze and develop logistics plans impacting production, distribution, storage, transportation, and inventory management activities.
  • Evaluate logistics processes and recommend improvements that enhance operational effectiveness, mission readiness, and resource utilization.
  • Develop sustainment strategies supporting Army medical readiness and force projection requirements.
  • Perform analytical assessments of logistics operations and provide recommendations to Government leadership.
  • Support readiness planning for contingency operations, exercises, deployments, and surge requirements.
  • Support management and accountability of Class VIII medical materiel.
  • Analyze inventory trends and develop recommendations to maintain readiness posture.
  • Coordinate medical materiel movement and distribution activities.
  • Monitor supply chain performance and identify risks affecting mission execution.
  • Support APS, UDP, and MMRP program operations.
  • Support Medical Logistics Support Team (MLST) mission planning and execution.
  • Prepare workload analysis reports and mission planning documentation.
  • Track mission metrics and provide recommendations to improve support operations.
  • Coordinate with Government stakeholders to ensure mission requirements are met.
  • Lead and direct the work of junior logistics personnel.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on medical logistics processes and procedures.
  • Provide training and mentoring to team members.
  • Support contract deliverables and performance reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), desk guides, and workflow processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Army regulations, DoD directives, and AMLC policies.
  • Prepare executive briefings, reports, and data analysis products.
  • Maintain documentation supporting audit readiness and accountability standards.
  • Support inspections, audits, readiness assessments, and customer inquiries.
