About The Position

The Logistics Analyst II provides logistics support to U.S. Marine Corps operations with a focus on DoDAAC/DoDAAD management, logistics data analysis, process improvement, tasker management, training, policy support, and customer service. The successful candidate will combine logistics knowledge with strong critical-thinking, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to research issues, identify root causes, develop practical solutions, and communicate recommendations to government and organizational stakeholders. The position will utilize GCSS-MC, ELMs, WebFLIS, PIEE, ETMS2, Power BI, and Microsoft Office to manage logistics information, analyze data, track actions, develop reports, and support Marine Corps logistics operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Public Trust eligibility required.
  • 3+ years of DoD or Marine Corps logistics experience, with knowledge of supply, logistics, materiel management, or related operations
  • Demonstrated experience with DoDAAC/DoDAAD management, including researching, validating, reconciling, and processing DoDAAC actions.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, take ownership, and follow actions through completion.
  • Experience researching and interpreting DoD or Marine Corps policies, regulations, instructions, and procedures.
  • Experience writing, editing, and maintaining SOPs, internal guidance, procedures, job aids, or policy-related documentation.
  • Experience developing and delivering training, briefings, or presentations to large groups, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and confidently.
  • Familiarity with ETMS2 or similar DoD tasker-management systems and experience tracking actions through completion.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and the ability to develop or support dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends and discrepancies, and translate data into meaningful findings and recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with government customers, military personnel, contractors, and organizational leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain DoDAAC/DoDAAD records, including researching, validating, reconciling, and processing activations, modifications, transfers, and inactivations.
  • Research complex logistics and DoDAAC issues, identify root causes, evaluate available information, and develop practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify trends, discrepancies, process gaps, and opportunities to improve efficiency, data integrity, and customer support.
  • Manage and track ETMS2 taskers, ensuring actions are accurately assigned, monitored, coordinated, and completed within established deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain tasker trackers, status reports, dashboards, metrics, and leadership briefings.
  • Utilize Power BI and Microsoft Excel to analyze logistics data and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that support decision-making.
  • Develop, review, edit, and maintain SOPs, internal guidance, process documentation, job aids, and other logistics-related materials.
  • Research changes to U.S. Marine Corps and DoD policies, regulations, instructions, and procedures and assist with updating organizational processes and guidance.
  • Translate complex policies and requirements into clear, practical procedures for personnel at various organizational levels.
  • Develop and deliver training and informational briefings, including presentations to large groups, on logistics processes, policies, systems, and organizational procedures.
  • Support property accountability, inventory management, asset lifecycle management, and logistics data reconciliation as required.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies involving DoDAACs, logistics records, inventory data, serial numbers, NIINs, NSNs, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with Marine Corps commands, supply personnel, program offices, DLA, property personnel, and other stakeholders to resolve logistics issues.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements and workflow efficiencies that improve data integrity, operational effectiveness, and customer support.
  • Prepare written products, presentations, reports, briefings, and other materials for government and organizational leadership.
  • Manage multiple priorities and independently execute assigned projects and actions while meeting established deadlines.
  • Develop and deliver training on logistics processes, systems, policies, procedures, and organizational requirements.
  • Present training and briefings to large groups and diverse audiences, including government and contractor personnel.
  • Develop presentations, training materials, job aids, and reference guides.
  • Assess training needs and recommend improvements to increase user understanding, consistency, and compliance.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for personnel requiring assistance with logistics processes and procedures.
