About The Position

The Logistics Analyst II is responsible for managing and coordinating the distribution, transportation, and warehousing of assets. This role involves preparing and providing necessary documentation for freight forwarding and transportation, and coordinating with government organizations to ensure the availability of critical spare parts. The analyst will update and maintain records of working bench stock, procure government-approved spare equipment through designated channels, and control project materials supporting base infrastructure maintenance. Additionally, the position requires managing, palletizing, and shipping government-procured equipment for transport, while ensuring positive control of equipment and materials as directed by AFCENT A6 or a designated representative.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in any discipline from an accredited institution or DOD Integrated Logistics Support Training
  • 2-4 years’ experience in logistics
  • Intermediate-level practical experience: enhancing product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory; creating and reviewing procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost
  • Intermediate-level experience with: USAF logistics/supply protocols, procedures, forms; DoD and AF forms (Form 9 (Request for Purchase), AF Form 616 (Fund Cite Authorization), AF Form 4009 (Government Purchase Card), DD Forms (Receiving Report), DD Form 448 (Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request), DD Form 1348-6 (Single Item Request)); Customer Authorization & Reporting Environment (CARE); Federal Logistic Information System Database (FEDLOG)
  • Active SECRET Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Distribute, transport, warehouse assets
  • Prepare and provide freight forwarding and transportation documentation
  • Coordinate with government organizations and provide a listing of working bench stock to ensure critical spare parts are available for non-stock listed COTS equipment
  • Update the working bench stock list quarterly and maintain in a continuity book
  • Work through government procurements channels using AF Form 9 and other methods to procure and maintain government approved spare equipment
  • Coordinate with AFCENT/A6X to control project material and materials necessary to support base infrastructure maintenance actions
  • Provide and ensure positive control of equipment and other materials as directed by AFCENT A6, or designated representative
  • Manage, palletize and ship government-procured equipment for transport
