About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Logistician to support our Huntsville, AL location. PeopleTec is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Logistician to support the Guam Defense System Joint Program Office (GDS JPO). This position requires experience with DoD financial processes, stakeholder coordination, and programmatic integration to ensure mission success for high-priority acquisition efforts. The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical mindset, the ability to lead complex tasks, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The Logistician is responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating life cycle logistics activities to achieve the desired outcomes in support of the mission.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years related experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of logistics to system development and requirements analysis.
  • Strong ability to multitask in a high paced environment.
  • Ability to present complex material to government customer concisely with recommended course of action.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing briefings and reports for senior officials.
  • Experience with Research and Development (R&D) and/or pre-milestone B systems engineering
  • Experience with DoD program management and systems engineering principles
  • Wide range of experience including system engineering, system testing, system fielding
  • Experience with government artillery, radar, and/or Command & Control (C2) programs
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Apply a multi-disciplinary approach to develop and support appropriate logistics strategies and requirements as well as understand the cost and logistics infrastructure/ footprint for the Multi-Domain Artillery Cannon System
  • Provide logistical analysis and guidance to assist in identifying, recommending, and incorporating logistics requirements into program acquisitions documents (i.e., contracts, Lifecycle Management Plan/Acquisition Strategy, and Test and Evaluation Master Plan) as well as drafting/updating Acquisition Documents to include but not limited to: Lifecycle Sustainment Plans and Materiel Fielding and Implementation Plans.
  • Support logistical analyses to identify, define, and document acquisition program integrated product support requirements
  • Participate in logistics IPTs or other logistics technical interchange meetings consisting of a diverse background of subject matter experts
  • Supports Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities for elements including Product Support Management; Design Interface; Sustaining Engineering; Supply Support; Maintenance Planning & Management; Supply Support; Support Equipment; Technical Data, Training & Training Support; IT Systems Continuous Support; Facilities & Infrastructure; Packaging, Handling, Storage & Transportation (PHS&T), Manpower and Personnel
  • Assist the Government in logistics planning, management, and risk analysis
  • Interface with other government organizations and contractors to represent MDACS in the programmatic and technical logistics activities
  • Develop and present briefings, analysis, and reports to government customer and provide recommended course of action in concise format
  • Monitors cost, performance, and schedule indicators and provides input to the Project Manager
  • Review and evaluate contractor proposals in support of program solicitations.
