About The Position

The Logistician supports the execution of all logistics operations required to establish and sustain a fully operational Third-Party Logistics (3PL) facility in Ponce, Puerto Rico. This position is responsible for supporting the receipt, inspection, sorting, packaging, palletizing, staging, storage, loading, and distribution of materiel in accordance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements. The Logistician works closely with the Logistics Subject Matter Expert (SME), Regional Operations Manager, and warehouse personnel to ensure efficient throughput, accurate inventory tracking, and timely movement of cargo via sea, air, and land. The role also supports mobilization activities, including facility setup, equipment coordination, and system implementation, ensuring readiness for Initial Operational Capability (IOC) and Full Operational Capability (FOC).

Requirements

• Experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain management
• Ability to use inventory tracking systems or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and support operational requirements
• Must be able to successfully pass, as required, a federal, state, or local government's background investigation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or government logistics operations
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with documentation requirements
• Maintain inventory accountability by updating and tracking materials in the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Support warehouse operations including sorting, packaging, palletizing, staging, and storage of materiel
• Coordinate cargo movement within the facility and assist with loading and unloading operations
• Prepare shipments and documentation for distribution via ground, air, and sea transportation
• Assist in implementing and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all logistics functions
• Support cold chain and HAZMAT handling requirements, including monitoring storage conditions and compliance
• Participate in system testing, reporting, and continuous process improvement efforts during mobilization and operations
