About The Position

PURVIS has an immediate opening for a Logistician responsible for maintaining Pre-Existing Bin (PEB) inventories, conducting monthly surveillance, and researching and validating part-number information. This information includes National Stock Numbers (NSNs), nomenclature, pricing, quantities, CAGE codes, manufacturers, and Unique Material Masters (UMMs). The Logistician uses multiple Government and commercial databases to ensure inventory accuracy, accountability, and data integrity.

The role catalogs, audits, and maintains inventory records for General Equipment (GE), Gain by Inventory (GBI), Operating Materials and Supplies (OM&S), and Work in Process (WIP).

Requirements

• A minimum of five years of experience supporting Navy systems.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using Navy logistics databases or systems.
• Accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
• Must have or be able to obtain a government security clearance at the SECRET level.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Navy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Pre-Existing Bins (PEB) list and conduct monthly surveillance.
• Compile the PEB part-number list by researching and validating part-number data.
• Research NSNs, nomenclature, pricing, quantity requirements, CAGE codes, manufacturers, and UMMs.
• Use Government and commercial databases to support inventory accuracy, accountability, and data integrity.
• Catalog, audit, and maintain inventory databases and records for GE, GBI, OM&S, and WIP.
