This position is based in Charleston, SC and will require occasional travel. The Logistician II integrates the spectrum of the logistics processes within the operational, acquisition and wholesale environments. Logisticians are responsible for directing the integrated logistics process, developing support policies, procedures and systems, and providing implementation guidance. The Logistician prepares and implements directives to ensure effective logistics support and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned work force is properly trained and equipped. It is the Logistician's duty to develop, initiate, integrate and manage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems and equipment.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Current active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Minimum of three (3) years professional experience in defense life cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, to include: logistics principles, practices, and processes.
  • At least one (1) year of support with C4ISR or similar systems, to include: Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data, and Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
  • Proficient with integrated logistics systems and contract cost monitoring tools.
  • Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test.

  • Familiarity with Government Contract & Contracts acquisition management.

Responsibilities

  • Support logistics planning and sustainment activities under direction of senior logistics personnel.
  • Maintain inventory records and track material from receipt through shipment and installation.
  • Assist with spares tracking, warranty management, RMA processing, and repair monitoring.
  • Prepare logistics reports, inventory tracking reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate shipping, receiving, and staging activities for Government-furnished equipment.
  • Support configuration documentation updates and logistics data entry.
  • Performs other related work as assigned.
