A Logistics Analyst is responsible for the coordination and oversight of drivers, trucks, and containers to create capacity, maximize productivity and ensure prompt, courteous and efficient service to all customers. Additional responsibilities include the oversight of safety, customer experience, and productivity. The role involves analyzing daily route information, implementing changes to improve efficiency and accuracy using an internal routing platform, and responding to same-day changes or next-day planning for customer service needs. The analyst will also ensure routes are closed on time, evaluate and resolve transit issues, manage driver safety, and analyze logistics data including inventory and asset reliability. Constant communication with drivers is essential to evaluate route progress and address performance issues. The position requires understanding route sequencing, responding to missed pickups, creating routes with maximized capacity, and monitoring daily routing activities to ensure on-time pickup and delivery. Evaluating the need for and opportunities with swing routes, determining if service requests can be pulled forward, and performing other job-related duties are also part of the role. The Customer Experience aspect involves courteous interaction, designing routes for driver safety and efficiency, prioritizing customer promises, updating call center communications, reducing missed pickups, improving communication channels, evaluating route issues that cause delays, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
