About The Position
Western Forest Products is currently seeking fully qualified Log Truck Drivers to join their Timberlands operations on Vancouver Island, BC. This role is safety sensitive and requires a valid Class 1 BC driver's license. The position involves a 5x2 shift schedule (5 days on, 2 days off, Monday to Friday) with potential overtime. Successful candidates will be subject to a pre-employment drug test.
Requirements
- Fully qualified truck driver with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the past 5 years with BC Coastal Logging.
- Valid Class 1 BC driver's license.
- Ability to provide a driver's abstract.
- Excellent safety record.
- Strong work ethic.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Accountable and dependable.
Nice To Haves
- Valid Advanced First Aid certificate.
Responsibilities
- Operate a log truck to transport logs.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of the vehicle.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean driving record and provide a driver's abstract.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
