This is a full-time Log Lift Operator position at their Mill Creek, West Virginia facility, offering opportunities for growth within the organization.
Requirements
- Safety-conscious attitude and experience
- Must possess skills, knowledge, and experience to operate a forklift
- Strong work ethic with the ability to be flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Must work well as a team member
- Highly organized and proven communication skills
- Must have excellent attendance
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience and or forklift safety certification
- 3 to 5 years' experience operating larger lift Trucks
- Forklift certification is preferred
Responsibilities
- Ensures safety protocol and policies are adhered to
- Safely operate Log Lift to unload incoming log trucks, move logs, and feed them to the sawmill's log deck
- Identify log species and organize them for efficient processing; stack logs in the yard
- Perform daily checks, keep equipment clean, and conduct minor maintenance
- Adhere to strict safety rules, communicate with truck drivers, and work with the log yard team
- Identify and correct quality issues in log placement and handling
