About The Position
CareVet is seeking Locum Veterinarians for their Traveling DVM program in Texas. This program offers experienced veterinarians premium pay, paid travel, and complete schedule flexibility. The program allows for a work-life balance, enabling veterinarians to practice medicine while having ample time for travel and personal pursuits. Veterinarians can choose between a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule (averaging 20 hours per week) or a 3 weeks on / 1 week off schedule. CareVet handles schedule logistics and provides support, clinical data, and autonomy in medical decision-making. The network consists of high-performing, community-rooted hospitals equipped with industry-leading diagnostics and treatment capabilities. Teams are experienced, collaborative, and have high retention rates. Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
- Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working
- Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
- Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
- Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
- Strong fondness and understanding of animals
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of animal behavior
- Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
