Locum Veterinarian - Greater Austin Area, TX
About The Position
Western Veterinary Partners is seeking a regional locum DVM to serve small animal general practice hospitals in the greater Austin, Texas area, from Canyon Lake to Round Rock. This is a full-time relief position designed for doctors who can easily connect with diverse teams and enjoy a dynamic caseload. The role offers flexibility in scheduling, with options for four-day (4-10s) or five-day (5-8s) work weeks. Importantly, there are no weekend, emergency, or on-call services required. The ideal candidate will be adaptable to different hospital cultures and needs, with proven hands-on experience working with small animals. The position supports three small animal hospitals located in the greater Austin area, including Canyon Lake, Wimberly, Kyle, Lago Vista, and potentially Round Rock.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD from an accredited program.
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Texas.
- 2+ years of clinical experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience working with small animals.
- Strong surgical, diagnostic, and communication skills.
- Passion for high-quality patient care and client service.
