Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner), PA (Physician's Assistant) Urgent Care
About The Position
This is a contract, on-site position within the Medical Practice industry, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced urgent care environment. As a Locum NP or PA, you will deliver timely evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients presenting with a wide range of acute and episodic conditions. You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and positive clinical outcomes. Requirements
- Associate-level clinical education and training as an NP or PA
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Board certification as an NP or PA
- Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care settings
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Ability to perform minor procedures and manage acute conditions
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care
- Flexibility to work on-site as required for a contract position
- Must be board-certified
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for urgent care patients
- Perform physical examinations and obtain detailed patient histories
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines
- Manage minor injuries, infections, and acute episodic conditions
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic medical records
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Educate patients on treatment plans, prevention, and follow-up care
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, protocols, and quality standards
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-friendly clinical environment
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical best practice initiatives
