Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care
- Willingness to collaborate and work as part of a team
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Must be board-certified
Nice To Haves
- Experience in cardiothoracic surgery or related fields preferred
- ECMO
- Ventricular support
- Central and arterial lines
- Catheter insertion/removal
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients
- Assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures and post-operative care
- Collaborate with surgeons and medical professionals for optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Provide crucial support during pre-operative evaluations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care
