This is an on-site, contract position designed for an Associate-level clinician who is ready to make an immediate impact in cardiovascular patient care. Requirements

Active licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
Associate-level clinical experience, with demonstrated focus in cardiology or a related cardiovascular setting preferred.
Strong knowledge of cardiac diagnostics, treatment protocols, and patient management strategies.
Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary medical team.
Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, families, physicians, and support staff.
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard medical documentation practices.
Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care within a fast-paced Medical Practice environment.
Flexibility to work on-site in Charlotte and adapt to changing clinical demands in a locum contract role.
Cardiology-specific experience such as managing heart failure, arrhythmia, or post-cardiac procedure patients is highly valued.
ACLS, BLS, board-certified
Minimum of 2 years of cardiology experience

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical exams focused on cardiovascular health.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions, including hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease.
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as ECG, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitors, and laboratory work.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists and other members of the healthcare team.
Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations, clinical guidelines, and patient needs.
Educate patients and families on heart-healthy lifestyles, medication management, and disease prevention strategies.
Document all patient encounters accurately and timely using electronic health records (EHR).
Participate in care coordination, follow-up visits, and discharge planning to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Respond to urgent cardiac situations and provide immediate, evidence-based interventions as needed.
Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and primary care providers to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to cardiovascular care.
Stay current with advances in cardiology practice, guidelines, and technologies to deliver the highest standard of care.
