Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Anesthesiology
About The Position
This contract position is on-site, providing an exceptional opportunity to contribute to patient care in a collaborative environment. As a Locum MD, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients throughout surgical procedures. You will work closely with surgeons and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of care and safety within our practice. Duties include providing full-spectrum anesthesiology care across perioperative care, surgical, procedural, and inpatient settings.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license to practice anesthesiology in the state of Colorado
- Strong understanding of anesthesia techniques and protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety
- BLS & ACLS certification required
Nice To Haves
- Associate-level experience in anesthesiology is preferred
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing various surgical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes in condition
- Collaborate with surgical teams to develop anesthesia plans
- Evaluate patients preoperatively to assess their medical history and anesthesia needs
- Manage anesthesia recovery and ensure patient safety
- Provide postoperative pain management advice
- Document anesthesia records and maintain compliance with standards
- Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology practices
