Lockbox Support Specialist M-F 8am-4:30pm
About The Position
Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Lockbox Support Specialist to direct workflow in assigned Operations departments, monitor productivity, and ensure staff compliance with Bancorp policies and procedures. This role requires knowledge of all departmental areas with the ability to assist in all functions as needed. The specialist is responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures. They must always do the right thing for customers and colleagues, ensuring actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience and achieve results within the Bank’s risk appetite.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two (2) years experience in Lockbox or comparable area.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Microsoft products, such as Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Responsibilities
- Directing workflow and prioritizing tasks.
- Monitoring productivity, quality, and procedures, and providing feedback to management.
- Overseeing and assisting in resolving escalated operational and customer service issues.
- Overseeing training of new hires, ensuring a full understanding of departmental and Bank procedures as well as individual job responsibilities.
- Promoting teamwork and the cross-training of employees.
- Notifying management of any potential customer service issues, procedural issues, and risk issues.
- Identifying and implementing work efficiencies through process improvement techniques.
- Performing Lockbox Support functions as needed within the Lockbox processing group, including Capture Repair (CPR), researching and solving questionable items, receiving and logging overnight items, logging and handling international items, credit card batching and processing, working with the SLK team to answer processing questions, monitoring daily file transmissions, and resolving data entry questions.
- Demonstrating mastery of all area equipment.
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
