About The Position

Fifth Third Bank is looking for a Lockbox Support Specialist to direct workflow in assigned Operations departments. This role involves monitoring productivity, ensuring staff compliance with Bancorp policies and procedures, and maintaining knowledge of all departmental areas to assist as needed. The position is responsible for risk management through open communication and adherence to policies, always aiming to do the right thing for customers and colleagues while achieving results within the Bank’s risk appetite.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two (2) years of experience in Lockbox or a comparable area.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Microsoft products, such as Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Directing workflow and prioritizing tasks.
• Monitoring productivity, quality, and procedures, and providing feedback to management.
• Overseeing and assisting in resolving escalated operational and customer service issues.
• Overseeing the training of new hires, ensuring a full understanding of departmental and Bank procedures, as well as individual job responsibilities.
• Promoting teamwork and the cross-training of employees.
• Notifying management of any potential customer service issues, procedural issues, and risk issues.
• Identifying and implementing work efficiencies through process improvement techniques.
• Performing Lockbox Support functions as needed within the Lockbox processing group, which may include Capture Repair (CPR), researching and solving questionable items, receiving and logging overnight and international items, credit card batching and processing, answering questions for the SLK team, monitoring daily file transmissions, and resolving data entry questions.
• Demonstrating mastery of all area equipment.
• Performing any other duties as assigned.
