About The Position

Entrust Solutions Group is seeking a Locator Technician for a Full Time, Permanent position based in Charlotte, NC. The role involves supporting clients in various industries, including renewables, power engineering, EV infrastructure, data analytics, and geospatial services. The Locator Technician will be responsible for ensuring all field locate and mark activities adhere to company specifications and standards, maintaining compliance with line locate and mark procedures, and providing excellent field assurance services to client operations. This position requires travel throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Willingness to travel.
Successfully pass DOT (compliant) drug screen and future random DOT drug screens.
Possession of a valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.

Prior field and/or locator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure all field locate & mark activities adhere to the company specifications and standards.
Responsible for the ongoing compliance of all line locate & mark procedures and providing the best possible field assurance services to the client’s operations.
Maintain well documented Daily Progress Reports (DPRs).
Utilize maps and blueprints to identify and mark the location of utilities such as gas and electric lines if applicable.
Document interactions, site information and utilities in organizational software.
Communicate with customers and internal leadership.
Use a variety of techniques including electronic, magnetic, blueprint analysis, and/or radar to locate utilities.
Provide daily and weekly production data reports.
Post informational door tags/letters notifying residents of our inspection procedures.
Maintain a professional relationship with client and their contractors other team members, and consistently deliver excellent client work.
