About The Position

We are seeking a Local Truck Driver in Reidsville, NC! This is a second shift position with local routes. Drivers are responsible for operating their assigned equipment in a legal, safe, courteous, and professional manner while transporting products on such vehicles. Drivers will operate their vehicles and complete paperwork within prescribed D.O.T. regulations.

Requirements

Pass the Federal Highway Safety Administration, U.S DOT physical examination and pre-employment drug test.
Pass Company driver’s road test.
Minimum of 2 years of CDL driving experience.
No suspended or revoked drivers license within the past five (5) years.
No moving violations within the past 2 years.
No felony convictions or any pending felony charges.
Agree to check past driving record.
No D.W.I. convictions within the past five (5) years.
Possess valid (CDL) Commercial Drivers License - Class A (preferred with tanker endorsement or ability to obtain within first 6 weeks of employment).
Possess good communication / relationship skills with drivers, Vendors, customers and suppliers.
Basic Computer Skills.
All applicants are subject to a criminal background check, work history review, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Operating assigned equipment in a legal, safe, courteous, and professional manner while transporting products.
Determining that vehicles are in a safe operating condition before beginning each trip with a pre-trip inspection.
Operating vehicles within posted speeds and laws governing our highways as conditions allow.
Conducting themselves in a courteous manner and referring problems at loading/unloading sites to Dispatchers.
Reporting any excessive delays in deliveries or pickups to their dispatcher.
Completing all trip reports, bills, and logs and turning them in at the end of each working day or as soon as possible if not returning to the home terminal.
Reporting any defect in equipment to proper maintenance personnel at the end of each trip by completing and signing "Vehicle Condition Report".
Performing other duties deemed necessary by management.
