About The Position

Drives truck equipped with a concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix to job sites. Safely drives truck to jobsite and arrives with the desired slump within customer or job specifications. Fills water tank before each delivery by placing rubber hose into the water tank and filling after checking that all valves are shut. Pursuant to customer needs, driver will place chutes from fender or hanging rack onto the main chute at the rear of truck for discharge. Upon completion of each shift, driver will wash truck with a hose and brush, including the use of acidic solution when necessary. Ready-mix driver is responsible to call callout each day for start time.

Requirements

• CDL Class A or B Required
• High school diploma (minimum); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to pass Federal Department of Transportation drug screen and physical.
• Maintain driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier regulations and meet company policy requirements.
• Ability to handle cash and make change.
• Ability to deal with customers and other employees in a diplomatic manner, in a variety of stressful situations.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
• Maintain Department of Transportation Health cond.
