This role requires operating all types of equipment safely, including manual transmissions and chaining tires, and driving in various terrains and conditions. The driver will be responsible for safely operating a tractor/trailer for freight transportation, adhering to all Company, Federal, State, and Local laws, including FMCSA regulations regarding run times and hazardous materials. Responsibilities include maintaining compliance records, ensuring equipment and cargo security, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting maintenance issues, verifying paperwork, and potentially using in-cab technology. The role may involve driving different schedules, working the dock, and occasional over-the-road trips as needed. Providing professional and courteous service to customers and the public is essential. Employees may be required to assist with dock work, including loading and unloading freight at company sites and customer locations. Regular attendance is mandatory.
