This role requires operating all types of equipment safely, including manual transmissions and chaining tires, and the ability to drive in various terrains and conditions. The primary responsibility is safely operating a tractor/trailer for freight transportation, adhering to all Company, Federal, State, and Local laws, including FMCSA regulations regarding run times and hazardous materials. The driver will maintain required records, ensure equipment and cargo security, and conduct pre- and post-trip inspections. Use of in-cab technology, such as electronic logs, may be required. The position may involve driving different schedules, working the dock, and occasional over-the-road trips as business needs dictate. Providing professional and courteous customer service is essential, and duties may include dock work and loading/unloading freight at customer sites. Regular attendance is mandatory.
