This part-time position requires operating all types of equipment safely, including manual transmissions and chaining tires. The driver will be responsible for safely operating a tractor/trailer in the transportation of freight, adhering to all Company, Federal, State, and Local laws, including FMCSA regulations regarding run times and hazardous materials. Responsibilities include maintaining compliance records, ensuring equipment and cargo security, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting maintenance issues, verifying unit numbers against paperwork, and potentially using in-cab technology. The role may involve driving different schedules, working the dock (loading/unloading freight), and occasionally driving over-the-road as approved and dictated by business needs. Providing professional and courteous customer service is essential. Regular attendance is required. This is not an exhaustive list of duties, and employees must be able to perform any other duties as assigned.
