About The Position
FAR Inspections is seeking a reliable independent contractor to perform residential mortgage inspections in Wayne County, Utah, and surrounding communities. This role offers the opportunity to earn supplemental or full-time income on a flexible schedule. As a Field Inspector, you will perform brief, exterior visits to confirm property status and report on general conditions. The position emphasizes autonomy, allowing you to manage your own routing, schedule, and territory, with standard inspections typically requiring only 5–6 minutes on-site. You will be responsible for determining property occupancy status, capturing photos, and submitting brief reports using mobile applications, while maintaining reliability regarding territory coverage and deadlines. This role involves significant driving within a spacious rural county with longer drives between stops, making a fuel-efficient vehicle and comfort with country roads valuable.
Requirements
- Reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle.
- Smartphone (Android or iPhone) capable of running mobile reporting apps.
- Computer with an internet connection and a printer.
- Strong time-management skills to meet deadlines without direct supervision.
- Ability to pass a standard background check.
