About The Position

The Local Missions Coordinator is a part-time, unpaid position designed for personal growth, skill development, ministry engagement, and hands-on experience. This role involves a combination of training, mentorship, and practical opportunities to discover and apply God-given gifts within the church context. The position requires 5-15 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements

  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ that results in a life tuned to obedience to God as described in the Scriptures, evident by spiritual fruit and the desire to grow in the Lord.

Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly All Staff meetings on Monday afternoons and Staff Prayer on Wednesday mornings.
  • Attend bi-weekly Resident Training and Mentorship meetings.
  • Participate in planning and creating within various settings, including vision sessions, church calendar, ministry areas and events, and sermon series planning.
  • Learn how different areas of ministry operate across the church.
  • Participate in and execute duties within the weekend worship service.
  • Help develop and evaluate sermons and sermon series.
  • Craft and deliver sermons, receiving feedback for growth.
  • Organize and assist with Local Groups.
  • Create strategic opportunities for deeper discipleship.
  • Implement a new guest pathway for consistent connections into the church body.
  • Help shape and oversee the Ownership Experience.
  • Disciple others in 1:1 situations.
  • Work with Local Guides to mentor others and provide training.
  • Participate in the Ministry Leadership Cohort with the Lead Pastor.
  • Engage in readings and study through various assigned books and materials.
  • Engage in theological and ministry topics related to church life and missions focus.
  • Meet regularly with site mentor and ministry partners.
  • Network with various ministry leaders within WEN and the GR area.
  • Be assigned to a specific ministry area within Beloved within targeted passion areas.
  • Help oversee and coordinate future missions partnerships (e.g., refugee care, ICCF).
  • Provide direct oversight and execution of ministry to deepen growth and further practical application within ministry.
