About The Position
FAR Inspections is seeking a reliable independent contractor to perform residential mortgage inspections in Copper River County, Alaska, and surrounding communities. This role involves performing brief, exterior visits to confirm property status and report on general conditions. The position offers the opportunity to earn supplemental or full-time income on a flexible schedule, with standard inspections typically requiring only 5-6 minutes on-site. The territory covers a spacious rural county with longer drives between stops, making a fuel-efficient vehicle and comfort with country roads valuable. As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for determining property occupancy status, capturing photos, and submitting brief reports using mobile applications, while maintaining reliability regarding territory coverage and deadlines.
Requirements
- Reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle.
- Smartphone (Android or iPhone) capable of running mobile reporting apps.
- Computer with an internet connection and a printer.
- Strong time-management skills to meet deadlines without direct supervision.
- Ability to pass a standard background check.
- Comfort with country roads.
