About The Position

This role is crucial for physically transporting Johnsonville’s delicious products throughout the country. As a member of our trucking team, you will comply with all state and federal laws and regulations while delivering products to customers with a safety-first mindset. You will also provide exceptional customer service as a representative of our company. The ideal candidate will be a safe, dedicated driver willing to go the extra mile to delight our customers. Johnsonville Trucking Drivers take pride in the safe driving culture and being brand ambassadors. Local drivers will average 50 hours per week.

Requirements

Acceptable driving record that meets company and DOT requirements.
Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
Minimum 21 years of age.
100,000 miles driving experience or completion of a certified truck driving school.
Ability to pass pre-employment, post offer drug screen, physical and background check.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Eligible to work in the country where this job is located, without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

2 years recent tractor trailer experience preferred.
Experience in the refrigerated food industry preferred.
Basic math and map reading skills.
Mechanical aptitude.
Computer skills desirable.

Responsibilities

Handle local pick-ups, deliveries, and redeliveries.
Perform intra-state activity with a maximum radius of 250 miles from Johnsonville campus.
Maintain a safety-first mindset.
Focus on customer service.
Demonstrate attention to detail, organization, and the ability to execute assigned work duties.
Exhibit an ownership mindset.
Portray a clean and professional image as a representative of Johnsonville.
Drive 2021 or newer tractors and late model Great Dane refer trailers.
Complete thorough vehicle safety inspections.
Complete E-DVIR for mechanical conditions in need of repair.
Legally operate in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
Maintain pre-scheduled appointments, obtain necessary signatures on bills of lading, and communicate any delays to dispatch.
