About The Position

TForce Freight, a less-than-truckload (LTL) freight carrier and subsidiary of TFI International, is expanding its team and seeking a Local Driver. The company provides transportation and logistics services across North America, handling various types of shipments including palletized and heavy LTL loads through its 178+ service centers. Services encompass regional, interregional, long-haul, cross-border transportation, and advanced tracking technology. The Local Driver role is crucial for the safe operation of a tractor and trailer, ensuring accurate and on-time delivery of freight to customers. This position requires a customer-focused individual who can represent TForce Freight with a positive, helpful, and professional attitude.

Requirements

Impeccable customer service and dedication
Valid class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in resident state
Hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
21 years of age
Meet all DOT and Company requirements
Safety perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to self or co-workers
Able to read, write and speak the English language
U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
Strong organizational and time managements skills

Responsibilities

Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently.
Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure.
Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs.
Adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols.
Maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions.
Communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation.
