Local Delivery Driver (No CDL Needed)
About The Position
Join Upper Lakes Foods as a Full-Time Straight Truck Driver and become an essential part of delivering quality food products throughout the Upper Midwest. In this role, you'll do more than drive. You'll provide outstanding customer service, ensure accurate deliveries, and help keep restaurants, schools, healthcare facilities, and other foodservice operators supplied with the products they need every day. No CDL needed, just a regular Driver's License! Upper Lakes Foods is the largest independent wholesale food distributor in Minnesota, serving customers throughout the Upper Midwest from facilities in Cloquet, MN, Northfield, MN, and Janesville, WI. Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with customers and coworkers.
- Dependability and consistent attendance.
Nice To Haves
- Previous delivery, driving, or customer service experience preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company straight truck while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries along established routes.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Verify route information, invoices, and loaded products before departure.
- Deliver and unload food products at customer locations using hand trucks and dollies.
- Verify deliveries, obtain customer signatures, and collect payments when required.
- Communicate with management regarding delivery discrepancies, returns, or customer concerns.
- Maintain accurate DOT logs, vehicle reports, and delivery documentation.
- Work closely with warehouse and transportation teams to ensure efficient operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and represent Upper Lakes Foods in a professional manner at every stop.
