Local Delivery Driver - CDL A - Monroe, LA
About The Position
This position will deliver to all types of customers including Foodservice. The driver is responsible for delivering product and executing all promotions, servicing all scheduled customers by the end of the shift, and merchandising all accounts to local standards. The role requires building positive working relationships with the primary contact at each account. The driver will also be responsible for ongoing rotating and stocking of product on store shelves, displays, in coolers and vending equipment. Additionally, the driver will build small displays and set up promotional materials such as pricing signs and banners. The position generates an invoice and is responsible for daily settlement of cash and charges, with frequent interaction with store management and store receiving personnel for acceptance of load as required.
Requirements
- 21 years or older
- Pass the DOT drug test and DOT Physical
- Valid U.S. CDL with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Nice To Haves
- Operating trucks requiring a Valid U.S. CDL license
- Adhering to all DOT regulations
- Merchandising products
- Using equipment to aid in hauling loads
- Operating equipment (pallet jacks, lift gates on trailers, hand trucks, breakdowns, etc.)
- Documenting DOT regulations
Responsibilities

- Unload pallets of product from the delivery vehicle with an electronic pallet jack or 2 wheel hand truck, and put the product in a designated area in the stores' backroom
