About The Position

Viking Electric is seeking a full-time Local Delivery Driver to join their team in Minneapolis, MN. This role involves delivering electrical products to customers, conducting vehicle inspections, and ensuring timely and safe deliveries. As the face of the company, drivers build strong relationships with customers. Viking Electric is part of the Sonepar group, a global electrical distributor.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license - Class B CDL
• Be at least 21 years old
• Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles
• Ability to lift packages that could weigh up to 85 pounds
• Ability to pass and maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) physical with our physician network.
• Basic math skills (add and subtract numbers)
• Basic English communication skills
• Willingness to learn how to operate equipment (we provide training)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections at the start and end of your route
• Transport and deliver products to customers with care
• Unload items such as wire, pipe, conduit, and boxes during deliveries
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor with customers
